Snow 11-28-11

On the evening of November 28th, I looked out our back door around 9:30 and saw...

SNOW!!

The flurries were really coming down...

and some of the flakes were huge!

I had to stick out my tongue and catch a few!!

It had been raining for quite some time before it changed to snow. The snow kept falling and started hanging on tree branches and accumulating on outdoor furniture...

Because of all of the prior rain, the snow didn't stick on the roads and it was pretty much all melted by mid-day, but it certainly was pretty coming down and covering the ground the next day!

Even though the weathermen predicted the possibility of some snow, the snow was an exciting surprise for me!

Wrap it in Maroon and White!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Charles and I had a great Thanksgiving! Charles' mom came to visit on Wednesday evening. After dinner, we saw J. Edgar - pretty good movie. Thursday, we woke up and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and enjoyed Jennifer's cinnamon rolls for breakfast. We went to Mama and Jerry's for lunch. It was delicious! Chicken and dressing, ham, turkey, squash casserole, English peas, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, rolls, and fruit salad and for dessert - apple pie and Jennifer's pound cake with strawberries and ice cream. Yum!! Charles and his mom enjoyed a game of Scrabble that evening. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

We were glad Charles' mom came to share it with us.
