Hernando Christmas Parade

Due to rainy weather on the original parade date, the Hernando Christmas Parade was postponed until Monday, December 12th. The weather last night was just perfect for a Christmas parade! It was cool enough to bundle up but not too cold and no rain in sight!
Charles and I enjoyed some warm and hearty taco soup and then made our way downtown for the parade. After waiting for a little bit, the parade made its way to us... We saw all sorts of neat floats this year with snowmen...

Disney characters...

and characters of all kinds aboard!

We even saw...

Yogi Bear...

Chick-fil-A entered a float that was really cute with Mr. and Mrs. Cow Clause!

Along with the bands, several organizations marched in the parade. I thought these little girls were just the cutest! I loved their snow girl costumes!

This float had foamy snow shooting out behind it!

The parade lasted a long time this year. There were all sorts of floats, organizations marching, bands, antique cars, tractors, Jeeps, policemen, firetrucks - pretty much you name it, it was in the parade! One of Charles' and my favorite entries was the van from Wesley Meadows. The older people in the van looked so excited to be a part of the parade and just kept waving and smiling to us all!

Last but not least was the float we were all waiting for...

The one that Santa Clause was riding on! The kids around us just loved that float!!

We had a great time at the Hernando Christmas Parade!
