So for Father's Day, Toula gave Charles two polos in SP colors...

We had a good day and finished it by enjoying dinner at On the Border and watching a movie of my choice. I chose The Proposal which was really cute and funny!

Family, Friends and Fun...

Mama's birthday is during the first part of June, so to celebrate, she came up on her birthday. Charles and I took Mama out for a wonderful lunch. Then I took the afternoon off, and Mama and I had a fun girls' afternoon. We enjoyed a mani-pedi and then looked in some of the shops around town. Even though it was Mama's birthday, she bought me a couple of things to bring home. A new, cute lap desk...
and the cutest Vera Bradley clutch! We had a wonderful afternoon! Then the next evening, Jerry treated us all to fish at Country Catfish which was delicious! (I think that dinner was more for Charles and Jerry - they just love catfish!! Jerry treated Mama to her real birthday dinner at Como Steakhouse.)

That weekend, Charles and I went to Brady's third birthday party and had such a fun time! He had a Scooby Doo party at a place called Jump.
I thought that it was pretty neat that in the first room we went into to bounce they had a Scooby Doo Mobile!!
It also had a Spiderman jump and a Batman jump in that room. The children had a great time jumping and sliding...and Charles had a fun time being a "monster"...

He was so good at it that he scared a couple of little girls, so he then had to tone it down a little!!

We then went into anther jump room that had a dinosaur jump and obstacle course type jump and a big slide.

Molly and I had so much fun sliding!!I don't think that I have laughed as hard as I did climbing up the slide (I got almost to the top and my feet slipped, so I had to re climb it - all while it jiggled) and while actually sliding! We had a great time!

Charles got into the big slide action too...one of the older children wanted to race him down...After we finished in the second bounce room, Brady got to blow out his candles, and we all enjoyed some delicious cake and ice cream...and I got to get Ava out of her stroller and hold her for a while...She is still the best baby! She didn't cry or fuss once during the whole party.

We then moved into the opening presents room. Brady got to take a seat on the huge throne and had a fun time opening his presents...

We had such a fun time at Brady's birthday party!

Molly and I have also started back to our Tuesday night girls' night, and we had the best time during our first night back!

Happy Anniversary to us...

Charles and I recently celebrated our 7th anniversary - my doesn't time fly!

Charles brought me these beautiful 7 roses...
He also bought my flowers for the back patio. We planted them all together (or I should say we were both outside while I planted them - but Charles did help with the big bag of potting soil and watered them all once they were planted!), and I was really happy with the way they all turned out!
We planted lantana in our little bunny by the back door...
and a beautiful light pink Mandavela to climb on the fleur de lis again this year; I can't wait for it to bloom...
and a variegated Bougainvillea ...
and zinnias for the table...
and more lantana along with some pink petunias...
Mama suggested I use our rabbit weather vane in the center of the big planter, and I'm glad I took the suggestion - it turned out great!
Our patio is so summery and colorful now. I hope the butterflies find all our new plants!

I took Charles to see the Iowa Cubs who were in Memphis to play the Memphis Redbirds. Because a game in their previous series had been suspended due to rain, the first game began in the 4th inning and went through the 9th. We were up close to the action for this game. Our seats were right on the front row beside the Cubs' dugout - practically at first base. We were able to get a close up look at the warm ups...
and the players walked right past us on their way to the dugout. We had a great view of the game!
And of Neal Cotts pitching...

It was a beautiful day, but it was HOT!! The sun was shining brightly but there weren't many clouds and not many breezes, so during the break between the first and second games, Charles and I walked around and checked out the park and enjoyed a shaved ice from the kid's corner!! We then moved into the shade for the second game...

We still had a very good view of the game and were able to enjoy it a little more since we were much cooler!
We were also able to really see into the Cubs dugout during the second game...We left before the second game was over, but we had a great time watching the Cubs play some good ball.

We left Autozone Park and headed to The Spaghetti Warehouse for a good evening before our anniversary dinner...

Charles and I had a wonderful 7th anniversary!
