Bruno Mars - June 6, 2014

Charles and I spent a fun evening at the Forum on Friday, June 6th with Bruno Mars!
Memphis was a stop on his Moonshine Jungle Tour.

We drove through the rain and parked close to the Forum and then walked through sprinkles to the Flying Fish for a poboy dinner - crawfish for me and Mahi Mahi for Charles.
Thankfully, the rain stopped while we were eating, and we just had a muggy walk back to the FedEx Forum.

We found our seats...
which provided a great view of the stage...

Although those clear barriers were a little too short for my liking!
Once I got in my seat, I stayed there!
A few of our friends were at the concert too,
and my friend Robin ended up being a couple of rows directly behind us!

The opening act as Aloe Blacc....
He did a great job and set a fun tone for the evening - especially with The Man and
Wake Me Up!

After the stage was reset...
Bruno Mars took the stage...
and put on a great show from the opening number until the end of the encore!

He and the band had so much energy and so much soul...

He performed all of my favorites!
The show opened with Moonshine, and the energy stayed up through Natalie and Treasure.
He then performed a little Billionaire and then Marry You and then performed a little of the Lazy Song and Nothin' on You...

He slowed it down a little with When I Was Your Man and then performed Grenade.
He "ended" the show with Just the Way You Are...
and then came back out for an energetic encore
of Locked Out of Heaven...
and then ended the concert with Gorilla...
Charles and I both really enjoyed the concert and had a great time!!

We met with up our friends Michael and Katie Harden after the concert and joined them at Silky's
for a bit after the show and then met with with
Cliff and Robin Daleke and their friends at the Blue Monkey afterwards.
We had a great time catching up with everyone!
