Goin' Country - July 26, 2013 - Keith Anderson, Chris Young and Hank Williams, Jr.

On July 26th, Charles and I headed to Snowden Grove Amphitheater
to enjoy my birthday present concert...
Our seats were great!

The show opened with Keith Anderson...
He performed a fun set, including Pickin Wildflowers.

After a short break, Chris Young took the stage...
and put on a great show!
He performed his older songs...
The Man I Want to Be and
Gettin' You Home

Along with songs from his Neon album...
including my favorite, I Can Take It From There,
which Charles even learned part of the chorus of!!

He also performed his new single, Aw Naw...

He put on such a fun, energetic show!

It was then time for Bocephus to take the stage!
Hank Williams, Jr. played everything from All My Rowdy Friends are Coming Over Tonight...
If Heaven Ain't A Lot Like Dixie,
and A Country Boy Can Survive...
His son joined him on stage for a few songs...

In addition to playing Family Tradition and Kaw-Liga,

he did a great job of covering Charlie Daniels Band's Devil Went Down to Georgia...
Hank Williams' There's a Tear in My Beer...
Johnny Cash's I Walk the Line...
and Jerry Lee Lewis' Great Balls of Fire...

What a fun show!
We had a great time!!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had a wonderful birthday!
As soon as I woke up, Charles brought out my presents...
I just love my monogram necklace!

He also gave me tickets to see Hank Williams, Jr. with Chris Young and Keith Anderson.
I am SO excited to go!!

We met Mama and Jerry for a birthday dinner at Como Steakhouse.
She sent a caramel cake from The Caramel Factory for me to enjoy later...
delicious!!

In addition to dinner and the birthday cake, Mama gave me the cutest picture frame
and piece of Peter's pottery...

along with a cute tote...
I had a great birthday!

July 4th

Charles and I enjoyed Memphis Barbeque Company...
(along with lots of other people having the same idea!) on July 4th...

We then went to the park to watch the beautiful sunset...
and swing - how fun!!

Ducks...
of all kinds...
flew in...
and greeted us...

So, we went to the store and brought back some bread to feed the ducks!
The ducks seemed to calmly wait for Charles to feed them...
and he had a fun time!

He then handed me a couple of pieces of bread, but they
didn't seem so calm waiting on the bread pieces from me!
I kept throwing the pieces away from me hoping that they would give me a little room!
It was fun, but I think the lightning bugs were more my speed!!
