On July 26th, Charles and I headed to Snowden Grove Amphitheater
to enjoy my birthday present concert...
Our seats were great!
The show opened with Keith Anderson...
He performed a fun set, including Pickin Wildflowers.
After a short break, Chris Young took the stage...
and put on a great show!
He performed his older songs...
The Man I Want to Be and
Gettin' You Home
Along with songs from his Neon album...
including my favorite, I Can Take It From There,
which Charles even learned part of the chorus of!!
He also performed his new single, Aw Naw...
He put on such a fun, energetic show!
It was then time for Bocephus to take the stage!
Hank Williams, Jr. played everything from All My Rowdy Friends are Coming Over Tonight...
If Heaven Ain't A Lot Like Dixie,
and A Country Boy Can Survive...
His son joined him on stage for a few songs...
In addition to playing Family Tradition and Kaw-Liga,
he did a great job of covering Charlie Daniels Band's Devil Went Down to Georgia...
Hank Williams' There's a Tear in My Beer...
Johnny Cash's I Walk the Line...
and Jerry Lee Lewis' Great Balls of Fire...
What a fun show!
We had a great time!!
