Mississippi State accepted a bid to the Liberty Bowl, and Charles and I went to cheer on the Bulldogs!
A Mississippi State football game on December 31st was a great way to close out 2013.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs were taking on the Rice Owls.
The game started at 3:00, but we arrived early and found our seats.
It was a perfect day for football! Sunny but not too chilly (at least while the sun was out!)
We tried some of Uncle Lou's bar-b-que nachos...
While getting settled in. Pre-game music included Elvis singing Suspicious Minds...
We had to enjoy a King Cotton hot dog at the game!!
Our seats weren't too bad...
We ended up having a perfect view of the action.
We enjoyed watching the stadium fill up with MAROON...
and the pregame warm ups...
The Famous Maroon Band...
got the Mississippi State faithful ready for the game!
We joined...
in ringing our cowbells...
and welcoming the State players to the field...
After a little Dawg Pound Rock...
it was time for kick-off!
After Rice scored on its opening possession, the Bulldogs...
answered...
with a touchdown...
and it was ALL BULLDAWGS for the rest of the game!!
The half-time entertainment was Diamond Rio...
The Dawgs continued to play well in the second half...
Dak Prescott and the rest of the team played a terrific game!
I was so glad that he was awarded player of the game - he DEFINITELY deserved it!
We were also glad to see Kendrick Market make some great plays!
We rang our cowbells...
extra loud for them!!
It was great to see the Dawgs take home another trophy...
Following the game...
we enjoyed dinner at Osaka...
It was delicious and the perfect way to celebrate the Dawgs' win!!
And the perfect way to end 2013!
