Travels, Friends and Football...

We've been pretty busy this past week...Saturday afternoon we traveled to Tupelo for an early evening wedding and then on to Birmingham for the night. Sunday we woke up and traveled the rest of the way to Atlanta for a fun vacation. We were able to see most of Atlanta's main attractions - the Atlanta History Center, Oakland Cemetery, Centennial Olympic Park, the Martin Luther King, Jr. historic site which houses his birth home, burial site, and museums, the Margaret Mitchell House and Museum, the World of Coca-Cola, CNN Studios, the Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta Cyclorama, the Atlanta Zoo, Turner Field and the Fox Theater.
The weather in Atlanta was really nice -- the highs were in the upper '80's and the humidity was lower -- for the most part. Of course, we were supposed to see the Braves take on the Cubs on Tuesday night, and wouldn't you know it, right before game time the rains moved in. They called the game but rescheduled it for Wednesday at 1:00, so we were able to watch it. The best part of the game -- the Cubs won!!
We got back home late Wednesday night and got everything in order because Friday night our friends Matt and LeAnna and their son Patrick came to visit us for the weekend. We really enjoyed visiting with them, and Patrick kept us entertained all weekend! We just can't get over how much he has grown since the last time we saw him, and he is just so smart!!
Saturday, we went with Matt, LeAnna and Patrick to the Memphis Zoo - Patrick's first trip to the zoo and had a really fun time!
Then we got everything ready for the fantasy football draft Saturday evening. We were so glad that so many people were able to come. We had a great time - and a really great time catching up with everyone!
This morning, we enjoyed a little play time with Patrick before they headed back home. Then we had to spend a little quality time with Toula -- she was so good all weekend and did really well with so many people in the house -- and then a little nap time to get ready for the work week ahead...
We'll try to share a few pictures from our busy week throughout this upcoming week.

We had a great time...though Patrick was quite upset until we got on the interstate....he wanted his Uncle Charles & Aunt Mae Mae to ride with us.

Halway home he says - we goin' to Uncle Charles and Aunt Mae Mae's house? I said no, we are going to our house. His reply - Oh.

Love you guys!
