Each time we looked out, the snow was either slacking off...
or falling harder... but it was still falling!
or falling harder... but it was still falling!
I was excited to see the first accumulation on the roofs...
The snow kept falling...
The snow kept falling...
and kept falling...and soon, we began seeing accumulation on the ground!and on objects in the yard...Mama and Jerry drove up last night and took us out for dinner. We decided that they should experience Uncle Chuck's; it was delicious - thanks Mama and Jerry! Charles's car is in the shop, so they told him that he could use one of their vehicles for school Monday (although if it doesn't warm up today, he may not be driving Monday!). So, we drove with them back to Batesville and then drove their car back to our house. The whole drive to Batesville and back, it was snowing. At one point, it was snowing so hard and the wind was swirling the snow so much, Charles couldn't see anything in front of him and could barely see the white line on the road...Thankfully, we made it back home okay.
When we got back to the house, we had a little accumulation, and some snow had blown in on my pansies...When we woke up this morning, we had a bit more accumulation and a lot more snow had blown in on my pansies overnight!
I just love seeing our yard blanketed in snow!
The roads and driveways are icy!
The roads and driveways are icy!
I've only heard a couple of vehicles go by this morning. They are, thankfully, driving unusually slow, and as they go by, I can hear the crunching of ice!
Looking out on our chairs on our patio, I saw these little bird tracks...
