Super Bulldog Weekend 2014

Saturday, April 12th, Charles and I headed to Starkville to enjoy part of Super Bulldog Weekend!

We walked to Davis Wade Stadium...
To watch the Maroon and White game...

and celebrate Scott Field's 100th year...

after warm-ups...

and some Dawg Pound Rock...
We enjoyed a hot dog and peanuts while taking in the game.  We saw some good plays from Dak and rest of the Bulldogs, but one of the most exciting plays was when Anthony Dixon jumped into the game in his sideline attire and scored a touchdown for the White team!

We left before the football game was over to make our way to Dudy Noble to watch the Bulldogs take on the Ole Miss Rebels...

The place was packed!  With an attendance of 15,586, we ended up making a new NCAA record for the largest on-campus crowd in college baseball history!

Boobie was all over campus!  Along with scoring a touch down in the Maroon and White game, he threw out the first pitch at the baseball game...

What an exciting game!

The game was tied at the end of the 9th and went into extra innings, and we certainly enjoyed that free baseball!  We ended up scoring 4 runs in the 10th to win the game!!
The final score ended up being 6-5!!

We waited for the crowds to clear out and then trekked back across the interstate to the car.

Everywhere was pretty packed for dinner, but we tried Rosey Baby which didn't have too long of a wait, and we were glad we did.
The crawfish crostini which was delicious!

We then enjoyed poboys - Charles had the Mahi poboy, and I had the crawfish poboy, and they were both delicious -- that along with sweet tea was the perfect ending to an exciting day!

We stayed in Starkville and had an early lunch at Oby's on Sunday before returning home.

We certainly enjoyed Super Bulldog Weekend 2014!
