Halloween Memories...

Well, the trick-or-treaters who stopped by the Willoughby house last night were somewhat small in number, but we did manage to hand out most of our candy. We enjoyed looking at all of the costumes. My favorite was a Little Orphan Annie, complete with a red wig. Among the other notables were a little baby dressed as a bear cub and a cute little dog dressed as a pumpkin!
Our little goblin, Toula was very brave last night. She does not like it when the doorbell rings or someone knocks on the door. She gets a little scared and runs into her little home. Well, last night she scurried into her home during the first few rounds of trick-or-treaters, but then she got brave and ventured into the living room. Of course, as soon as the doorbell rung, she ran under the couch and stayed hidden out for quite a while. She then decided to venture out in between rings of the doorbell and hurry back under the couch for safety after hearing someone at the door. During one of the interludes, she thumped her foot and threw her ears up and forward (I call her our little guard bunny when she does this -- it is just too cute!!), and sure enough after a few seconds, kids were knocking on our door. By the end of the evening though, she had left the safety of under the couch and stayed out in the open. For being so brave, she got lots of treats: carrots and sweet potato chips - yummy!!
