Pretty Pansies...

This morning the weather was beautiful. I decided to take advantage of it and plant my pansies. I wanted to get an early start so that I could be finished before the MSU/Bama game.
I think all the planters turned out alright, but I was especially happy with the back containers.
The front entryway
The back patio
I really like the way cabbage looks in containers at the nurseries and in the magazines,
so I decided to try it myself this year.
I found a kale plant and surrounded it with multi-colored pansies.
I think it turned out pretty!

I think that this one may be my favorite.

Charles and I found the fleur de lis last year at Hernando's A'fair.

I love fleur de lis and this type of yellow pansy is so cheery!

I finished planting in plenty of time to catch the MSU game, but apparently our network provider thinks that we would rather watch the Vols and Razorbacks...nothing could be further from the truth!!

It actually turned out to be good that our game wasn't on because I got in the cleaning mood and did heavy cleaning (that didn't happen in the Spring like it should have). So far I have finished the kitchen and dining room. Seeing them that clean just makes me feel good -- I know, I'm such a dork!!

Toula decided that she wanted to help with the cleaning...

She was on the alert, looking for dirt and dust...

Then she decided sniffing out the dirt and dust would be much easier...

She did more than just point out the dirt and dust, she helped clean up too...

We have been trying to be more "green," and Toula decided she would do her share in saving the Earth too!

Reduce, reuse, recycle...Toula really likes the reduce part!!

If she chews on it long enough, there won't be any left to put in the garbage can...
